Nach der Fahrt
durch den National Park erreicht man die Parkplätze 2 km vor Mount Buller Village. Von
hier bringt einen ein kostenloser Shuttlebus (keine Gepäckbeförderung) zu den Liften und
in den Ort. Vom Village führt die neue kuppelbare Sechsersesselbahn Holden
Express hinauf in das Skiparadies. Dieser Lift wird von einer Dreiersesselbahn und
einem Schlepplift begleitet. Von hier oben kann man zu den "Southern Slopes"
hinüberschwingen. Hier findet man mittelschwere Waldabfahrten. Einige
Vierer- und Dreiersesselbahnen bringen einen wieder hinauf. Der Vierersessellift Summit bringt
einen bis auf 1790m Höhe. Von diesem höchsten Punkt kann man über schwere Abfahrten
wieder zum Summit Lift wedeln. Mit dem Howqua Vierersessel oder dem parallel verlaufendem
kürzeren Schlepplift Koflers gelangt man wieder zu den Pisten, die zurück in den Ort
führen. Man sollte aber auf jeden Fall die Wombat Run abfahren und sich mit dem
gleichnamigen Vierersessel wieder hochschaukeln lassen. Jetzt kann man sich noch auf den
"Northern Slopes" austoben. Von dieser Seite kann man mit dem Dreiersessel
"Grimus" ebenfalls auf den Gipfel schweben. Der Horse Hill Access Lift ist eine
kuppelbare Vierersesselbahn bei der auch Vierergondeln auf dem Seil hängen - sehr
angenehm bei schlechtem Wetter. Dieser Lift führt vom Skigebiet hinunter zu den
Parkplätzen.
Die Abfahrt hinunter ins Village ist eine leichte Abfahrt und führt direkt an den
Restaurants und Hotels vorbei bis in die Mitte des Ortes. Nach dem Skifahren sollte man
noch eine der Bars besuchen...
After the drive through the National Park you arrive at the paking lots, 2 km in front
of Mount Buller Village. Now you can take a free shuttle bus (no luggage transportation)
to the lifts and to the Village. From the Village you can take the new high
speed six person chair up to the mountain. From here you can ski down to the "Southern
Slopes". On these slopes you find nice intermediate runs through the forest. Quads
and Triples take you up to the mountain. The Summit Quad takes you up to 1790m, the
highest point in this ski resort. Here you find advanced runs down to the Summit Quad. The
Howqua Quad or the Koflers T-bar takes you back to the Village, but don´t forget to ski
down the nice Wombat Run. A quad takes you up again. Now you can change to the
"Northern Slopes". The Triple Chair "Grimus" takes you up to the top,
too.
With the Horse Hill Access lift, a detachable quad with gondolas (very good if the weather
is bad), takes you to the parking lots. The last run down in the Village is an easy run
and takes you in the middle of the Village. At the end of the skiing day you can go in one
of the restaurants or bars to enjoy a drink... |
