| Das Skigebiet von Les Deux Alpes besteht aus zwei Seiten. Die Abfahrten am Pied Moutet sind nur im Hochwinter zu befahren, da die Abfahrten zwischen 1300m und knapp 2100m auf südseitigen Hängen liegen.
Die Pisten werden von 2 Vierersesselbahnen und 2 Doppelsesselbahnen bedient. Um in das Hauptskigebiet zu gelangen nimmt man am besten die 20 Personen-Umlaufbahn Jandri Express I und erreicht so, ohne umzusteigen, den Fuße des Gletschers. Vom Ort Les Deux Alpes kann man auch noch mit der kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn du Village, der Vierergondelbahn Jandri 1 oder Diable ins Skigebiet gelangen, jedoch muss man um bis zum Gletscher hinaufzukommen umsteigen. Vom Fusse des Gletschers auf 2600m kann man entweder mit der 20 Personen-Umlaufbahn Jandri Express II oder mit der kuppelbaren Achtersesselbahn Glaciers I + II bis auf 3200m gelangen. Der Gletscher wird von dem langen Doppelschlepplift Puy-Salié I + II, sowie 4 weiteren, kürzeren Schleppliften bedient. Der Dome-Express, eine unterirdische Standseilbahn führt ebenfalls (der Einstieg befindet sich etwas unterhalb der Bergstation des Jandri Expresses und der Achtersesselbahn und ist entweder über eine leichte Abfahrt oder den Ascenceur Glacier, einer kurzen Standseilbahn, zu erreichen) hinauf bis auf 3200m. Mit ein bisschen Anschieben gelangt man zum höchsten Lift in dem Gebiet, dem Gletscherschlepplift Dôme de la Lauze, der bis auf 3560m hinaufführt. Hier oben kann man sich in das Skigebiet La Gave mit einer Pistenraupe ziehen lassen (Kosten: 8,00 Euro) oder man läuft etwa 30 Minuten - Achtung der Skipass ist in La Grave nicht gültig! In La Grave selbst führen 2 Gruppenumlaufbahnen La Meije I + II von 1400m bis auf 3211m hinauf. Im Anschluss surren noch 2 Gletscherschlepplifte bis auf 3560m. Die Abfahrten an den Gletscherliften sind sehr leicht, aber weiter hinunter sind die Abfahrten sehr steil und werden nicht präpariert und sind somit nur Könnern zu empfehlen. Es sind stolze 16 km bis nach La Grave hinunter. Die Abfahrten am Glacier de Mont de Lans sind zumeist leicht. Eine mittelschwere Abfahrt führt hinunter zu den Sesselbahnen Signal. Die kuppelbare Vierersesselbahn Signal 2 (begleitet von einer Doppelsessel- und Dreiersesselbahn) führt wieder hinauf zum Gletscher. Die Abfahrten, leicht und mittel, entlang der Achtersesselbahn und des Jandri Expresses II sind sehr breit und für jedermann zu empfehlen. Um wieder Richtung Les Deux Alpes zu gelangen führt eine sehr leichte Abfahrt vorbei an der Doppelsesselbahn Grand Nord, der Sechsersesselbahn Bellecombes und über einen langen Ziehweg (vorbei an der Dreiersesselbahn Thuit) zu den Liften oberhalb von Les Deux Alpes. Hier steigt man auch um, wenn man nicht direkt zum Gletscher hinauffährt. Die Pendelbahn Jandri 2 führt von hier wieder zum Gletscher und Anfänger haben hier das ideale Übungsgebiet, bedient von der kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn Crêtes und der Doppelsesselbahn Petites Crêtes und einem Tellerlift. Auf leichten Pisten und einem herrlichen Blick auf Les Deux Alpes macht das Skifahren so richtig Spass. Von der Bergstation der kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn Crêtes kann man mit der Vierersesselbahn Super Diable hinauf zum Tête Moute und über eine schwere Abfahrt wieder zur Talstation des Liftes oder aber auch über einen Ziehweg und leichte Pisten, vorbei an der Bergstation der Sechsersesselbahn Bellecombes, hinüber zum Snowpark, der von einem Kurventellerlift bedient wird. Von hier ist es nicht mehr weit zum Gletscherrand. Man sollte aber auf keinen Fall die mittleren und leichten Pisten am Lac Noir auslassen, die von einer Doppel- und einer Dreiersesselbahn erschlossen sind. Die Abfahrten enden alle wieder an der Talstation der Achtersesselbahn und des Jandri Expresses II. Die Talabfahrten hinunter nach Les Deux Alpes sind zumeist schwere Abfahrten, so das Anfänger am besten mit einer der Gondelbahnen wieder zu Tale schweben. Bei ausreichender Schneelage kann man bis nach Mont de Lans auf 1300m gelgen hinunterwedeln. Eine Doppelsesselbahn und eine Vierersesselbahn schaukeln einen dann wieder nach Les Deux Alpes hinauf. Nach dem Skifahren oder Snowboarden stehen einige nette Pubs und Restaurants im Ort zur Verfügung. The ski resort Les Deux Alpes consists out of two sides. On the slopes at the Pied Moutet you can ski only in the high winter, because the runs are situated between 1300m and scarcely 2100m on the south side. The runs are served by 2 quads and 2 double chairs. The Dôme Express, an underground funiculair leads also (the entrance is underneath the mountain station of the Jandri Express II and the eight person chair and you can reach it either over an easy slope or the Ascenceur Glacier, a short funiculair) up to 3200m. You have to push a little bit to reach the highest lift in the ski area, the glacier t-bar Dôme de la Lauze, up to 3560m. From here a snow cat can tow you to the ski area La Gave (costs: 8.00 Euro) or you can walk about 30 minutes - attention the ski pass is not valid in La Grave! In La Grave you have two group gondolas La Meije I + II from 1400m up to 3211m. Followed by 2 glacier t-bars up to 3560m. The runs at the glacier t-bars are very easy, but further down the runs and are not prepared and very steep, so it is only recommended for advanced skiers or boarders. The total length of this run is 16 km down to La Grave. The slopes at the Glacier Mont de Lans are mostly easy. An immediate run leads down to the chair lifts Signal. The high speed quad Signal 2 (accompanied from a double chair and a triple chair) leads again up to the glacier. The slopes, easy and intermediate, along the eight person chairs and the Jandri Express II are recommended for everyone. To ski back to Les Deux Alpes a very easy slope leads past the double chair Grand North, the six person chair Bellecombes and across a long flat way (past the triple chair Thuit) to the lifts above Les Deux Alpes. Here you have also to transfer, if you do not take the Jandri Express up directly to the glacier. The aerial tramway Jandri 2 leads up to the glacier and beginners have here the ideal learning area, served by the high speed quad Crêtes, the double chair Petites Crêtes and a t-bar. On the easy slpes you have a wonderful view down to Les Deux Alpes. From the top station of the high speed quad Crêtes you can take the quad Super Diable up to Tête Moute and over an advanced run again to the base station of this quad or in addition, over a flat way and easy slopes, past the top station of the six person chair Bellecombes, over to the snowpark, which is served by a curve t-bar. From here it is not far to the edge of glacier. Not to forget the intermediate and easy slopes at the Lac Noir, which are served by a double and a triple chair. The slopes end all again at the base station of the eight person chair and the Jandri Express II. All the valley runs down to Les Deux Alpes are mostly advanced runs, so that beginners should take the gondolas or chair lifts down to the village. If there is enough snow you can swing down until Mont de Lans on 1300m. A double chair and a quad takes you again up to the village. After skiing or riding some nice pubs and restaurants are available in Les Deux Alpes. |
