 Minus restaurants are too expensive and bad service
Kaum erreicht man Tignes, sieht man auch schon die vielen Lifte, die sich links und rechts die Berghänge hinaufziehen. Am Ende des Tales, nachdem man den Lac de Tignes passiert hat starten die Lifte hinauf zum Grand Motte Gletscher. Man gelangt direkt mit der unterirdischen Standseilbahn "Funiculaire de Grande Motte" hinauf in die Gletscherregion. Man kann auber auch mit einem sehr langem Bubble und einem kürzeren Bubble hinaufkommen. Bis ganz hinauf, zum höchsten Punkt auf 3456m in dem Skigebiet führt dann die Pendelbahn Grande Motte. Von hier oben kann man über leichte Pisten hinunterwedeln. Die Gletscherschlepplifte "3500", "Champagny" und "Rosolin" sind auch im Sommer in Betrieb. Eine schwere Abfahrt führt hinunter zur Vierersesselbahn "Leisse", die einen wieder zum Restaurant und der Bergstation des Funiculairs bringt. Die mittelschwere und herrliche Abfahrt "Les Lanches" führt einen wieder hinunter nach Tignes. Mit den kuppelbaren Sechsersesselbahnen mit Abdeckhauben "Bollin" und "Fresse" gelangt man von hier direkt hinüber Richtung Val d´Isère. Die Dreiersesselbahn "Tufs" führt ebenfalls hinauf auf den 2704m hohen Toviere, von dem man ebenfalls nach Val d´Isère hinüberschwingen kann. Hier oben endet auch die 10EUB Aeroski, die direkt vom See aus startet. Mittelschwere und schwere Abfahrten führen auch wieder zur Gletscherbahn und nach Tignes zurück... Wir empfehlen, sich selbst Brotzeit und Getränke mitzunehmen, da 8,- DM für eine Dose Cola auf der Piste reichlich übertrieben sind!
Wir haben uns nur einen kleinen Teil des Skigebietes angesehen, in naher Zukunft werden wir noch über weitere Abfahrten in Tignes und auch über Val d´Isère berichten...
If you arrive at Tignes, you can see the lifts on the left and right side. At the end of the valley, if ou have passed the Lac de Tignes, starts the "Funiculaire Grande Motte", a train in a tunnel up to the glacier. You can take also 2 Bubbles to go up to the glacier. Now starts the aerial tranway to the highest point at 3456m in the ski resort. From the top you can ski down easy slopes. The t-bars  "3500", "Champagny" and "Rosolin" are running in the summer, too. There is also a nice black run the the quad "Leisse" who takes you again up the the restaurant and the funiculaire station. The very nice, intermediate run "Les Lanches" goes streight back to the valley. If you take the the detachable six person chairs with bubbles "Bollin" and "Fresse" you can ski to Val d´Isère.  You also can take the triple chair "Tufs" up to Troviere, 2704m where the 10EUB Aeroski from Lac de Tignes also ends. Now you can ski to Val d´Isère or you can take intermediate or advanced runs back to the glacier lifts or to the Lac de Tignes...  We recomomend to take some lunch packets with you, because it is not worth to pay 4 US$ for a tin Coke!
In the near future we will test the other slopes from Tignes and Val d´Isère...
