| Direkt
am Stadtrand von Narvik startet die Gruppenumlaufbahn hinauf ins Skigebiet
von Fagernesfjellet bis hinauf auf 656m. Man hat einen herrlichen Blick
auf den Fjord und den Hafen von Narvik. An der Bergstation befindet sich
ein Restaurant ebenfalls mit herrlichem Blick auf den Fjord. Die
Bergstation erreicht man auch vom Tal aus mit drei Schleppliften. Die
erste Sektion der Schlepplifte Holstkleiva I erschliesst zwei leichte
Pisten, die zweite Sektion der Schlepplifte Holstkleiva II erschliesst
eine schwere Trainingspiste und eine mittelschwere Abfahrt. Mit der
dritten Sektion erreicht man dann schliesslich auch die Bergstation der
Gruppenumlaufbahn. Hinauf auf den 1003m hohen Fagernestoppen fuert eine
Doppelsesselbahn, die eine mittelschwere Abfahrt erschliesst und unterhalb
der Doppelsesselbahn findet man viel freien Skiraum. Von hier oben kann
man sogar bis zu den Lofoten Inseln blicken, ein traumhaftes Erlebnis. Zu
Fuss gelangt man weiter hinauf bis zum 1280m hohen Andretoppen wo man
unendlich viele steile Off-Pist-Möglichkeiten vorfindet, unter anderem
auch die Mørkolla, eine der bekanntesten Bowls in Skandinavien. In dem
ganzen Gebiet wird das Off-Pist-Skiing sehr gross geschrieben und man kann
fast den ganzen Berg befahren. Es wird eine Piste vom Fagernestoppen bis
hinunter ins Tal präpariert. Das Gebiet ist zumeist für erfahrene
Skifahrer geeignet, da die Einstiege zu den Liften auch nicht gerade
einfach sind. Ein weiteres Skigebiet namens Ankenesfjellet, das speziell für Vereine und Familien geeignet ist befindet sich auf der andren Seite des Hafens. Dort erschliessen zwei Schlepplifte leichte bis mittelschwere Waldabfahrten. Da es im Winter sehr lange dunkel ist, so sind die gesamten Abfahrten am Ankenesfjellet und die unteren beiden Schlepplifte in Fagernesfjellet beleuchtet. Zum Einkehren hat man des Restaurant mit herrlichem Blick an der Bergstation der Gruppenumlaufbahn oder die Asbjornstua zwischen Schlepplift 1 und 2. Après-Ski gibt es im Skigebiet nicht, aber im Ort Narvik findet man die eine oder andere nette Bar... Direcly at the edge of Narvik, the group gondola starts up to the ski resort of Narvik, called Fagernesfjellet, up to 656m. You have a fantastic view to the fjord and to the harbor of Narvik. At the top station is a restaurant with excellent view to the fjord. You can reach this station from the valley with three t-bars, too. The first section Holstkleiva I open up two easy runs, the second section Holstkleiva II open up the advanced training run and an intermediate run. With the third section of the t-bars you reach the top station of the gondola, too. Up to the 1003m high Fagernestoppen is a double chair lift, which open up an intermediate run and a lot of off-pist area underneath and beside the double chair lift. From the top station of the double chair lift you have a breathtaking view to the Lofoten Islands. Now you can hike up to the Andretoppen (1280m) where you find endless off pist possibilities, amongst other things the concarve bowl Mørkolla, known all over as the best bowl in Scandinavia. In the whole resort you can do off pist very well. There is only one groomed run from Fagernestoppen down to the valley. This resort ist mainly for the advanced skiiers and riders, because the terrain and the entrances to the lifts are not so easy. Another small ski resort, called Ankenesfjellet is located at the other side of the harbor. This resort is especially for clubs and families. Here you will find two t-bars and easy to intermediate runs. During the winter it is very long dark in Narvik, so all the runs in Ankenesfjellet and the two lower t-bar sections in Fagernesfjellet are equipped with floodlight. For a break you can go to the restaurant with nice view at the top station of the gondola or in the Asbjornstua between t-bar one and two. There is no après-ski in the resorts, but you will find some nice bars in the center of Narvik... |
