| Von der Brennerautobahn-Ausfahrt San Michele fährt man noch eine
gute Stunde bis hinauf zum Tonalepass, wenn man den richtigen Weg findet, denn die Straße
ist an vielen Kreuzungen sehr schlecht ausgeschildert. Hat man dann die 1883m hohe Grenze
zwischen Trentino und Lombardei erreicht, sieht man die vielen Lifte vom Winterskigebiet
und die Seilbahn in Richtung Gletscher, die das ganze Jahr über in Betrieb ist.
Mit einer modernen Zweiseilbahn mit Gondeln für je 15 Personen geht es vom Tonalepass hinauf zum Passo Paradiso.
Hier sieht man noch die stillgelegte Doppelsesselbahn von Aleveo Presena und hat einen
herrlichen Blick auf den Presena Gletscher. Nun geht es mit der Doppelsesselbahn
Paradiso-Presena weiter hinauf ins "ewige Eis". In 2730m am Ghiacciaio Presena
endet die Doppelsesselbahn und die Gletscherskilifte beginnen. Ein kurzer Tellerlift
bedient eine leichte Piste, die für Anfänger sehr gut geeignet ist. Ein Tellerlift und
ein Schlepplift führen parallel hinauf zum Cima Presena und enden in 3016m Höhe. Die
schwere Abfahrt Presena Sinistro führt auf der rechten Seite wieder hinunter zu den
Schleppliften, auf der linken Seite kann man über eine mittelschwere, sehr breite Abfahrt
zu Tale wedeln. Auf halbem Wege führt ein weiterer kürzerer Tellerlift Maroccaro II zu
einer weiteren leichten Piste. Die Pisten sind für einen Gletscher relativ steil und
bieten auch Könnern viele Möglichkeiten. Eine leichte Abfahrt führt von Ghiacciaio
Presena hinunter nach Passo Paradiso. Diese Abfahrt kann man bis in den Sommer hinein
fahren, so lange noch Schnee liegt, denn die Abfahrt befindet sich nicht mehr auf
Gletschereis. Im Winter führt eine steile Abfahrt unterhalb der Gondelbahn bis hinunter
zum Tonalepass... Auch das Winterskigebiet am Tonalepass kann sich mit modernen kuppelbaren Liftanlagen sehen lassen. Man kann über Ponte di Legno bis nach Temù fahren. Hierüber werden wir in einem der kommenden Winter noch mehr berichten... From the Brenner-Highway-Exit San Michele you drive about 1 hour up to the Passo Tonale, but it is not so easy to find the right way because some streets have no signs! If you arrive at the boarder between Trentino and Lombardei at 1883m you can see the many lifts from the winter ski resort and the cable car up to the glacier which operates all around the year. With a cable car with gondilas for 15 pers. you float up to Passo Paradiso. Here you can see the disused old double chair from Aleveo Presena and you have a very nice view to the Presena Glacier. Now you take the double chair Paradiso-Presena up to the permanent ice. At 2730m at Ghiacciaio Presena ends the double chair and you can take the glacier lifts. A short t-bar with an easy slope, especially for beginners, is right near the double chair. Two parallel t-bars take you up to Cima Presena in 3016m. Now you can ski or ride the black slope Presena Sinistro on the right side of the lifts down to the lifts. On the left side you have a very wide and intermediate run down to the lifts. Half way down is another short t-bar Maroccaro II with an easy slope. The slopes are relatively steep for a glacier and so advanced skiers have very good possibilities to ski. From Ghiacciaio you can ski down an easy run to Passo Paradiso until summer if there is enough snow, because this run is not on the glacier. In winter you can also ski a steep run down to Passo Tonale... The winter ski resort Passo Tonale offers nice runs with modern lifts. You can also ski or ride via Ponte di Legno to Temù.
