| Von
der neuen Breckenridge Station kann man mit der Achtergondelbahn über die
Station Shock Hill und Peak 7 (ab 07/08 in Betrieb) hinauf zum Peak 8
schweben. Die kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahnen Colorado Super Chair und
Rocky Mountain Super Chair bringen die Sportler dem Peak 8 näher. Über
die Abfahrt Columbine gelangt man zum Schlepplift T-bar und weiter zur
kuppelbaren Sechsersesselbahn Independence Super Chair, die unterhalb des
Peak 7 herrliche mittelschwere Waldabfahrten erschliesst. Nimmt man den
Schlepplift T-bar erreicht man die sehr schweren Abfahrten in der Contest
Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl, Cucumber Bowl, North Bowl, Peak 7 Bowl und kann auch
zur kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn Imperial Express Super Chair fahren. Man
kann vom Colorado Super Chair auch mit der Doppelsesselbahn 6 zum Imperial
Express gelangen. Der Imperial Express Super Chair ist die höchste
Vierersesselbahn der Welt und führt hinauf bis auf 3914m. Von hier oben führen
nur schwere und extrem schwere Abfahrten über weite Hänge wieder zu
Tale. Um zu den Abfahrten am Peak 9 zu gelangen kann man entweder mit der Doppelsesselbahn Chair E auf den Peak 9 schweben, oder oder über leichte Abfahrten hinüber zur Talstation des Peak 9 gleiten. Die kuppelbare Vierersesselbahn Beaver Run Super Chair bringt einen dann hinauf zum Peak 9, während die kuppelbare Sechsersesselbahn Quicksilver Super6 ganz leichte Abfahrten für Anfänger erschliesst und die Verbindung zum Peak 10 herstellt. Am Peak 10 erschliesst die kuppelbare Vierersesselbahn Falcon Super Chair schöne breite Abfahrten. Am Peak 9 findet man auch Abfahrten aller Schwierigkeitsgrade vor und die kuppelbare Vierersesselbahn Mercury Super Chair startet etwas weiter oben und unterstützt den Beaver Run Super Chair. Zurück Richtung Peak 8 geht es mit der kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn Peak 8 Super Connect über eine Mittelstation. Von der Bergstation kann man über breite mittelschwere Abfahrten hinunter zur Talstation Peak 8 abfahren und mit der Gondelbahn wieder zu den Parkplätzen oder über die leichten Abfahrten Four O´Clock oder Snowflake hinunter Richtung Breckenridge gleiten. Am Peak 8 erschliessen die beiden Doppelsesselbahnen Chair 5 und Chair 7 zwei Funparks, sowie leichte Übungspisten. Breckenridge wurde erstmals 1859 im sogenannten Goldrausch erwähnt und hat bis heute den Charakter eines netten Goldgräberstädtchens beibehalten... From the new Breckenridge Station you can take the eight person gondola up to Peak 8 via the Shock Hill station and Peak 7 station (from 07/08 on). The high speed quads Colorado Super Chair and Rocky Mountain Super Chair take the skiers and riders nearer to Peak 8. Via the easy Columbine you can reach the T-bar and the high speed six person chair Independence Super Chair. This lift open up fantastic wide runs underneath the Peak 7. If you take the T-bar you can reach the advanced runs in the Contest Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl, Cucumber Bowl, North Bowl, Peak 7 Bowl and you can ski or ride to the high speed quad Imperial Express Super Chair. You can reach from the Colorado Super Chair via the double chair 6 also the Imperial Express. The Imperial Express Super Chair is the world´s highest quad chair lift and ends at an elevation of 12840 ft. From here you can ski or ride only advanced runs via wide bowls back to the valley. To reach the runs at Peak 9 you can take either the double chair E up to Peak 9 or you can glide via an easy to the base station of Peak 9. The high speed quad Beaver Run Super Chair take you to the top of Peak 9 as the high speed six person chair Quicksilver Super6 open up very easy slopes for the beginners and is the connection to Peak 10. At Peak 10 the high speed quad Falcon Super Chair open up nice and wide runs. At Peak 9 you will find runs of all levels of difficulty and the high speed quad Mercury Super Chair supports the Beaver Run Super Chair. Back to Peak 8 you can take the high speed quad Peak 8 Super Connect with mid station. From the top station you can ski or ride via wide and intermediate runs to the base of Peak 8. Here the two double chairs open up easy runs for beginners as well as two funparks. You can take the gondola down to the parking lots or the easy runs Four O´Clock or Snowflake to Breckenridge. The town of Breckinridge was formally created in 1859 during the Colorado gold rush and has still the character of a nice gold-digger village... |
