Valley zählt zu den Skigebieten von Park City und ist das exclusivste der
drei Gebiete rund um Park City. Von Park City erreicht man sehr schnell
die Snow Park Lodge, von wo aus der Carpenter Express und der Silver Lake
Express, zwei kuppelbare Vierersesselbahnen, die Wintersportler schnell
ins Skigebiet von Deer Valley bringen. Von der Silver Lake Lodge kann man
man auf den Bald Mt. und Flagstaff Mt. mit weiteren Sesselbahnen schweben.
Am Flagstaff Mt. enden 4 kuppelbare Vierersesselbahnen und es gibt zumeist
mittelschwere Waldabfahrten. Über die Empire Canyon Lodge kann man mit
der kuppelbaren Vierersesselbahn Empire Express hinauf zum 2917m hohen
Empire Canyon fahren, dem höchsten Punkt im Skigebiet von Deer Valley.
Auf baumfreien Hängen findet man hier weite Tiefschneeabfahrten vor. Mit
dem Ruby Express gelangt man wieder auf dem Flagstaff Mt. und kann über
mittelschwere Abfahrten wieder zur Silver Lake Lodge wedeln. Die Abfahrten
am Bald Mt. sind etwas schwerer als am Flagstaff Mt. und man findet
hervorragende Bedingungen vor. Die Dreiersesselbahnen Sultan und Mayflower
erschliessen den Berg von der Rückseite her. Auf den Bald Eagle Mt.,
dieser stellt die Verbindung zur Snow Park Lodge und Jordanelle her,
gelangt man entweder mit der Dreiersesselbahn Crown Point oder mit der
kurzen Vierersesselbahn Homestake. Von hier kann man über leichte bis
schwere Abfahrten zur Snow Park Lodge abfahren, oder über leichte Pisten
hinunter zur Vierergondelbahn Jordanelle Express schwingen. An der
modernen Gondelbahn mit Ledersitzen findet man viele exclusive private Villen und Skiwege vor, die
über den ganzen Berg verteilt sind. An den Hauptknotenpunkten im
Skigebiet stehen Lodges zum Einkehren zur Verfügung. Après Ski wird hier
im Skigebiet nicht so gross geschrieben, dazu fährt man am besten ins
nahegelegene Park City. Anfänger finden auch in Deer Valley ihr Revier,
an der Snow Park Lodge gibt es extra zwei Doppelsesselbahnen und auch die
Abfahrt vom Bald Eagle Mt. ist gut für Anfänger geeignet... Deer Valley is one of the three ski resorts in Park City and the eclusivest one. From Park City you reach at first the Snow Park Lodge where the Carpenter Express and the Silver Lake Express, two high speed quads, start. These lifts take the skiers very quick up into the ski resort. From the Silver Lake Lodge you can reach the Bald Mt. and Flagstaff Mt. with more chair lifts. At the Flagstaff Mt. is the top station of four high speed quads and you have a lot of intermediate runs through the forest. Via the Empire Canyon Lodge you can ski to the high speed quad Empire Express which take you up to the highest point in Deer Valley with an elevation of 9570 ft. Here you will find wide deep snow runs on tree free slopes. With the Ruby Express you can return to the Flagstaff Mt. and via intermediate runs down to the Silver Lake Lodge. The slopes at Bald Mt. are a bit steeper than the runs at Flagstaff Mt. but here you have also excellent skiing possibilies. At the backside of the mountain are the triple chairs Sultan and Mayflower. If you want to go to the Bald Eagle Mt., which is the connection point between Snow Park Lodge and Jordanelle, you can take either the triple chair Crown Point or the short quad Homestake. Now you can swing via easy to advanced runs down to Snow Park Lodge or via easy runs down to the high speed four person gondola Jordanelle Express. At the modern gondolas with leather seats you find a lot of exclusive and private villas which are all connect with streets and private runs. At the main points in the ski resort you find lodges and restaurants for a break. Après ski is not a big thing here in Deer Valley, if you like Après ski, then drive to Park City. For beginners are two double chairs at the Snow Park Lodge and there is also a perfect green run from Bald Eagle Mt. back to the Snow Park Lodge... |
