| Am
landschaftlich schönen Highway Nr. 1, der historischen Pintlar Scenic
Route, in der nähe von Georgetown Lake ist das kleine Skigebiet mit
seinen steilen Abfahrten auf der Rückseite des Berges gelegen. Von der
Talstation (Base) auf 2087m erschliesst die Doppelsesselbahn Jubilee
leichte Pisten unterhalb des 2331m hohen Jubilee Mountain. Die Easy
Dreiersesselbahn bietet Anfängern ein perfektes Gelände direkt an der
Talstation. Den Rumsey Mountain erreicht man entweder mit der älteren
Rumsey Doppelsesselbahn (nur bei viel Betrieb geöffnet) oder mit der
Anaconda Dreiersesselbahn. Von hier oben kann man direkt in die schweren
Backbowls einfahren. Die Doppelsesselbahn Limelight erschliesst fast nur
sehr schwere Abfahren durch Waldschneisen und durch lichten Wald. Hier
finden die Könner ihr Revier. Die Doppelsesselbahn endet knapp unterhalb
des Rumsey Mountains so das man direkt wieder zur Vorderseite und den
schweren Abfahrten gelangt. Die Dreiersesselbahn Granite Chair, ebenfalls
auf der Rückseite des Rumsey Mountains gelegen führt bis 1828m, dem
tiefsten Punkt im Skigebiet, hinunter und erschliesst mittelschwere bis
schwere Abfahrten. Auf der Vorderseite findet man Abfahrten aller
Schwierigkeitsgrade vor. Man kann über sehr leichte, breite Abfahrten
oder aber auch über die ein oder andere schwere Abfahrt zu Tale schwingen
und gelangt immer wieder zur Talstation. Für eine Pause ist nur die
einfache Base Lodge vorhanden. Das Skigebiet ist aufgrund der steilen bis
extrem steilen Rückseite auch sehr bei Könnern geschätzt und es bietet
auf der Vorderseite auch für alle anderen Könnensstufen ausreichend
Abfahrten, so das hier niemand zu kurz kommt. Located at the scenic highway no. 1, the historic Pintlar Scenic Route near the Georgetown Lake is the the small ski resort with its steep backside. From the base station (2087m) the double chair Jubilee open up mostly easy runs below the Jubilee Mountain (2331m). The triple chair Easy is next to the base and offers a perfect area for the beginners. To reach the Rumsey Mountain you can take either the old double chair Rumsey (open only when needed) or the triple chair Anaconda. From the top you can ski or ride into the advanced backbowl. The double chair Limelight on the backside open up only advanced and extreme double diamond runs through forest and gladed runs. Here is the place for the experts. The double chair ends curt below the Rumsey Mountain so that you can ski or ride to the front side or back in the bowl again. The triple chair Granite, also located on the backside of the Rumsey Mountain leads down to about 1828m, the lowest point in the ski resort and open up intermediate to advanced runs. On the front side you have runs of all levels of difficulty. You can choose between very easy and wide runs or intermediate up to advanced runs. All the runs end at the base lodge and the lodge is the only place for a break. The ski resort is very interrested for the advanced skiers and riders because they love the steep backside but also the beginners and intermediate find the right slope on the front side of the mountain. |
