Loup Loup Ski Bowl liegt zwischen Okanogan und dem Methow Valley am State
Highway 20 am Loup Loup Pass auf einer Höhe von 1225m. Es sind knapp 20
km von Twisp und 25km von Okanogan bis zum Skigebiet. Von den kostenfreien
Parkplätzen kann man mit der Vierersesselbahn Loup Loup direkt von der
Talstation auf den 1798m hohen Gipfel schweben. Von hier aus kann man jede
der 10 Abfahrten in dem Skigebiet erreichen. Vier schwere Abfahrten führen links
und rechts von der Vierersesselbahn wieder zu Tale. Drei mittelschwere
Waldschneisenabfahrten und drei leichte Abfahrten am äussersten Rand der
Ski Bowl führen ebenfalls wieder zu Tale. Für Anfänger gibt es an der Talstation noch den Tellerlift Beginner Hill und den Seillift Bunnie Hill, die sehr leichte Abfahrten zum Üben bedienen. Zum Einkehren gibt es nur die Base Lodge mit Kamin und Cafeteria. Die Loup Loup Ski Bowl ist ein kleines Skigebiet mit 10 Abfahrten aller Schwierigkeitsgrade, genau richtig für einen Nachmittag um einfach mal ein paar Schwünge zu ziehen, aber Achtung das Skigebiet ist nicht täglich geöffnet... The Loup Loup Ski Bowl is located between Okanogan and Methow Valley on State Highway 20 at the Loup Loup Pass at an elevation of 4020 ft. It is 12 miles from Twisp and 18 miles from Okanogan up to the ski resort. From the free parking lots you can take the quad Looup Loup from the base station up the peak at an elevation of 5900 ft. From here you can reach very of the 10 runs in the ski area. Four advanced runs lead next to the quad back to the valley. Three intermediate runs and three beginner runs are on the left and right edge of the bowl. For beginner with easy slopes are the t-bar Beginner Hill and rope tow Bunnie Hill next to the base area. To stop for a bite to eat you can go to the Base Lodge with fireplace and the Cafeteria. The Loop Loop Ski Bowl is a small ski resort with 10 runs of all levels of difficulty and perfect for a day of skiing or just to relax, but please pay attention the area is not open daily... |
