| Salt Lake City liegt am Grossen Salzsee, eingebettet zwischen den Wasatch Bergen im Osten und den Oquirrhs Bergen im Westen. Die Skigebiete erreicht man zwischen 30 und 45 Minuten (Ausnahmen: Beaver Mountain, Elk Meadows und Brian Head) von der Stadt aus. Hier fanden im Jahre 2002 die olympischen Winterspiele statt und noch heute kann man die Herren- und Damenabfahrten in Snowbasin hinunterwedeln oder den Utah Olympic Park kurz vor Park City besichtigen. Auch unterkunftsmäßig hat Salt Lake einiges zu bieten, wie z.B. The Grand America Hotel das exclusive Zimmer und Restaurants mit Blick auf die Berge bietet. Salt Lake City is located at the edge of the great salt lake, nestled between the Wasatch Mountains in the east and the Oquirrhs Mountains in the West. You can reach the ski areas within 30 and 45 minutes (exceptions: Beaver Mountain, Elk Meadows and Brian Head) from the city. Here the olympic winter games took place in the year 2002 and still today you can ski the mens and womens downhill in Snowbasin or you can visit the Utah Olympic Park located just before Park City. Salt Lake City has also great accommodations to offer, e.g. The Grand America Hotel with exclusive rooms and restaurants with view to the mountains.
